Popular LA Restaurant Bacari to Open in Long Beach's Belmont Shore

Mediterranean-inspired eatery set to debut in 2026, bringing unique flavors and vibrant atmosphere to the community

Bacari Restaurants, a renowned Los Angeles-based dining group, is expanding its footprint with the upcoming launch of Bacari Long Beach in the heart of Belmont Shore.

Slated to open in 2026, this new establishment will occupy the former site of the iconic Michael's on Naples at 5620 2nd Street.

Known for its Mediterranean-inspired small plates and eclectic beverage offerings, Bacari aims to infuse the Long Beach dining scene with its distinctive culinary approach.

Founded in 2008 by brothers Daniel and Robert Kronfli alongside Executive Chef Lior Hillel, Bacari has garnered acclaim for its shareable dishes and vibrant ambiance.

The menu features a variety of Mediterranean-inspired small plates, including favorites like caramelized Brussels sprouts with pomegranate molasses and Asian pear and brie pizza.

The beverage program boasts house-made sangrias, craft cocktails, and a curated selection of wines and beers.

Each Bacari location is uniquely designed to reflect its neighborhood's character.

For the Long Beach venue, plans include a rooftop bar and dining area with a retractable covering, offering patrons an inviting space to enjoy live music from local artists.

Weekend brunches will also be a highlight, providing a new gathering spot for the community.

“Bacari is focused on creating a place where the community can come together to enjoy good food while being entertained and enjoying the company of others,” said co-founder Robert Kronfli.

“Bacari Long Beach will be unique with its décor and ambiance while offering the same great food as our other locations.”

The acquisition of the former Michael's on Naples site marks a significant development in Belmont Shore's evolving culinary landscape.
